Split 12" with The Chord And The Fawn Artwork

UPDATE: The release date for the above record has been set to August 17th, and you can preorder it through Edible Onion.

Above is the artwork for our forthcoming split with The Chord And The Fawn. If you haven't heard them, you should. The record is being released through Edible Onion and most of the artwork was done by Ben. Each record will be packaged in a felt sleeve, with your choice of three colors (green, baby blue, & pink). All the labels are hand-painted and hand-numbered. Only 400 will be available.

Happy 2010!

There is a new video of Emily the Bear on the media page from a Br'er performance in Tucson Arizona at the HangArt. As well, at the beginning of December, Br'er got two write-ups in a French blogs. The first one is Delicious Scopitone, and the other is Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.

Upcoming news includes a spring tour, and an upcoming split 12" with label mates The Chord and The Fawn. Side A is a previously unreleased EP by Br'er called "The Soft Mountain" and Side B is The Chord And The Fawn's EP, "This Has To Be Meant To Be", which was self-released on CD-R in 2008. The record will be released later this year on Edible Onion. Here is the tracklist:

Br'er Live @ Death By Audio Videos

This week, Tom at the Great Pumpkin posted some videos he shot of Br'er at Death By Audio in September. Along with Painted Lady, there are 3 new songs that were debuted on this last tour. You can watch them here. The new songs are also up on the media page.

Recent Press

Br'er has gotten some press recently.

1. Br'er's new album "Filled With Guilt & Diamonds" is up in Fense Posts's Cover Art feature. Cover Art is a feature that showcases an album's artwork and does a little writeup and includes some streaming songs. The feature is up here.

2. There is a Br'er interview up on local Philadelphia blog Girl About Town. They talk about the new album, playing live, as well as the future of Br'er. Read the interview.

3. There is a nice, on the fence, but curious review of "Filled With Guilt & Diamonds" up on UK blog Song, By Toad. Check that out here.
